Description
Edward John Pearson's carbolic sand soap factory on Cook Street in Hamilton East. The soap was guaranteed to clean anything and even destroy insects, including fleas. Mr E J Pearson stands on the extreme right of the photograph. He is wearing his smoking cap which is now in the Waikato Museum of Art & History's collection. There is a company horse-drawn cart out front.
