This collection of glass plate negatives was donated to us in 2017 by Geoff Steven. The Maunder Family lived in Hamilton c.1900-1914.

Life in Lockdown

The response to the 2020 covid-19 pandemic was unlike anything anyone had experienced before. It was a monumental time in history and the Hamilton City Libraries wanted to capture it and preserve it for future generations. A lockdown photography competition was created, and people were asked to send in their photographs which best showed their life during lockdown.

The History Page was revived in 2021 and the Library is proud to continue it's association, with Rowan, our Digital Delivery Librarian now also contributing.
