Description
Trains stand either side of the platform at Frankton Junction railway station. The train on the right is a J class locomotive. Goods trains are on the other tracks. A wooden ladder is propped up over the ramp and against one of the buildings which include a hut for the Railway Transport Officer who carried out bookings for wartime personnel on leave. Another is an Ambulance Room. Along from this is the station office, the waiting room, and the signal box. The complex piece of track work is a 'double slip'. The large building on the right beyond the tree is the Farmers Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd.'s (F.A.C.) bulk store.
