Description
Looking south west on the opening day of the new Railway Bridge. The bridge was opened on the 19th of September 1964 by Prime Minister Rt Hon K J Holyoake, with Hamilton Mayor Dr Denis Rogers. To the left of the low railway bridge is the original railway bridge which would soon be converted to the Claudelands Road road traffic bridge! Also visible, on the far left, is an advertising board for 1XH radio station and on the right, the State Advances Corporation.
