Description
Work continues on the construction of the extension of Claudelands Road from Grey Street to the CBD. Until 1964 the original part of Claudelands Road, from Grey Street to where the Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club is currently located, was called Station Road. In this photograph a steam train can be seen coming from the Claudelands railway station that Station Road took its name from. The vehicle at the bottom right of the photograph is a Hamilton City Council vehicle
