Description
Work begins on the construction of the extension of Claudelands Road from Grey Street to the CBD. The new Claudelands Road bridge, a conversion of the old railway bridge to a road and pedestrian traffic bridge, opened in early October 1968. Until 1964 the part of Claudelands Road from Grey St to where the Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club is currently located was called Station Road
