Description
A hairdresser and tobacconist shop in Ward Street. The proprietor was J.A. Emerson. The window display is full of smoker's requisites including; pipes and pipe bowls, tobacco pouches, cigarette holders, pipe filters and penknives. There is also shaving and care product; cut throat and safety razors, strops, nail cutters, Palmolive Shaving cream and combs. A sign above the door advertises Players cigarettes. Adverts in the window include Probak blades for beards, Rugby pipe tobacco and Capstan navy Cut tobacco. There are two unknown gentleman posing in the doorway who could be the proprietors.
