Description
Premier (Prime Minister) R J Seddon addressing Boer War troops in Auckland. On left of photo is Major General James Melville Babington G.O.C. NZ Defence Forces. To Babington's left is an unidentified naval lieutenant commander in front of whom is the Colonel commanding the unit who in turn obscures the mayor of Auckland.
