Object Detail

Description
Frankton Railway station closed in 1975. A new station, near where the main trunk lines diverge, was built. In this photo we can see the old station in process of being demolished. Roofs and frontage walls have gone and the main frames are waiting to be removed. The pedestrian footbridge can just be seen in the distance. There are parked goods wagons on the right loaded with four cars, a van and two utes.
