I grew up in Hamilton and have fond memories of the frankton Junction Railway Station as my grandfather who used to work on the railways, used to arrive by steam train from Rotorua to visit us. I remember crossing over the over bridge by the Frankton Junction petrol station and waiting in trepidation for the steam engines to go underneath us.
