Description
A set of five photographs relating to H.C.M. (Car) Norris in his youth.

A) A black and white print of the Carthew home, Te Henui, New Plymouth. His grandmother's house, Norris boarded here when he attended New Plymouth Boys' High. His grandmother was Ida Southey Carthew.

B) Postcard titled 'Hunterville in flood, N.Z.' showing two boys paddling in the floodwater outside a house. The boys are identified on the reverse as Car (H.C.M.) Norris and Marryat Norris.

C) A black and white print of Car (H.C.M.) Norris as a young man. Norris is seated, arms around his knees, in front of a shed.

D) A black and white print of a house. The house is identified as 'Tredudwell, Te Rapa 1920' on the reverse. This may be the home of his parents,John and Ida Norris, who had a farmlet in Te Rapa.

E) A black and white print of Car (H.C.M.) Norris playing tennis.
