Description
Building was opened in 1908 to house Hamilton's first free library. Known as the 'Carnegie Library' due to a grant from the Carnegie Foundation. the library moved to the new municipal building in 1960 leaving this building vacant This image shows it being used as a 'Lions Club Opportunity Shop' raising money for charitable work. It was demolished in 1961. Two Fords grace the image - 1940/48 EO4A Anglia and a 1956/58 Mark 2 Zephyr.
