Description
b. 1890-1900. Born in Glengarry County, Ontario Canada. Descended from the Highland Scots. He came to New Zealand March 1850 in Whaleship "Vesper". Lived at Awhiti 1850-60/64. Worked at a sawing station (Crown Grant) at Horotiu 1868-70. Married 1868. Also worked for E Gibbons, Hamilton on river steamers. Lived in Samoa cotton growing 1870-78. Was in a shop in Hamilton East 1873-78.
