Object Detail

Description
Several horse drawn vehicles lad on a bicycle crossing the bridge. Note naming: The original 'Traffic Bridge' was ceremoniously, if not correctly, named the 'Union Bridge' at the instigation of the deputy mayoe at the opening ceremony. The second traffic bridge (the present steel arch bridge) was not ever 'officially' opened. It did however, by error of ignorance, become known as the Victoria Bridge possibly around the 1930s.
