Description
It is not certain that this is Woodward himslef. Earliest advertising is in Waikato Times in 1915 offering services of 'coal & firewood'. A descendant advised: 'E Woodward started working as a contractor to Hamilton Borough Council. Woodwards depot used to be behind Findlay's Bakery in Collingwood/Alexandra Streets. He was also Waikato agent for Glen Afton Collieries and later New Zealand Express [a nationwide cartage company]. His company was E Woodward Ltd.
