A c.1920s small pickup utility Dennis Sign written on door for E Woodward Ltd, on the barge board above the windscreen, 'N.Z. Express Co' and on edge of bonnet top, Glen Coal. It appears to be sacks of firewood on the tray.
A descendant advised: 'E Woodward started working as a contractor to Hamilton Borough Council. Woodwards depot used to be behind Findlay's Bakery in Collingwood/Alexandra Streets. He was also Waikato agent for Glen Afton Collieries and later New Zealand Express [a nationwide cartage company]. His company was E Woodward Ltd.
