Description
Taken during the reconstruction of the Seddon Road and Norton Road roundabout which replaced three smaller islands. This is looking over the King Street fork at the Hamilton Taxi Society Ltd building which also accommodated the accountant and taxation consultant H.A. Martin. Out front of the building is the garage and service station, Modern Service Motors Ltd. which sold Europa petrol. They also did motor repairs. Along King Street is Griffin & Sons Ltd, biscuit and confectionery manufacturers; Excel Engineering Co Ltd; and Rod McLear, used cars dealer.
