Description
Taken from the top of the Anglesea Street wall, this photograph shows the 1960s municipal buildings. These were officially opened on the 9th of July 1960. They faced, what was then, Worley Street. Also visible in the photograph is the MLC building, on the corner of Garden Place and Alexandra Street (now Worley Place); and on Victoria Street, the former BNZ building and the Chief Post Office.
