Description
Photo taken in July 1967 from the east side of Victoria Street. The buildings are: (clockwise) Norwich Union Insurance, (building remains 2011 - shops below, offices above), CML, Ford Motors (low white facia, corner Garden Place & Alexandra Street), National Insurance (with clock), Telephone Exchange under construction, T & G, Hamilton City Council municipal buildings, MLC, unknown, NZI Company (was British Traders Insurance for some time), Dominic Buildings, Woolworths, Pascoes (not in view but knitwear shop is in Pascoe's building). Also visible in the image are cars, bicycles and the Anglesea Street wall.
