Description
Looking north this photograph shows the many tracks of the junction station. It looks as if some new wood has been placed around the tracks to enable easier crossing for staff. The signal box is at centre right. Further along the platform are the station buildings which include refreshment rooms and a telegraph office. The wagons along the right could be stock retainers. There are many goods engines and wagons in the distance. Somebody is stepping off the rails onto the platform near a person on a motorbike. Several other people are walking around. In the background between the signal box and the telegraph office the factory of J.J. Craig Ltd, bed suppliers, can be seen. They were on High Street.
