Description
Lake House was built in 1872 by Alfred Cox, a prominent land owner and farmer. It was the first dwelling house to be built at Hamilton Lake (Lake Rotoroa). It had formal gardens and land on which cattle was grazed. Today it is smaller but still quite visible on the western side of the lake.
