Description
Postcard. The Brighton Private Boarding House, on the corner of Anglesea and Thackeray Streets, opened in January 1908, under management of Mrs Kirk (Proprietress). It became known as the Midland Private Hotel in 1914 with Mrs E.C. Forbes (proprietress). It was extended to near double the size in 1915 (architect J E Chitty). The building was demolished in the early 1970s.
The business was also listed as 'boardinghouse'.
