Description
The Hamilton Municipal band as they were in 1878. In 1912 they renamed themselves the 16 Waikato Regimental Band. The Frankton Municipal Band became the official Hamilton Municipal Band in 1917 which caused tension between the two bands. Poor public support and financial difficulties brought the bands together in 1928 and they became the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Municipal Band.
