Description
Looking south from near current day Alma Street. Garden Place Hill is mid-ground centre right. Pascoe's building would later occupy the corner site where J Volkner's Cream & Dairy Can Factory stands. Garden Place Hill undulated over this part of Victoria Street but was cut through to level the street. On the left is high ground which was later removed. The dark two storied building in the centre of the photograph is under construction. It was built for pharmacist, H V Long. Next to it is H.A. Boyes, tailor.
