Object Detail
Description
The Hamilton Public Library was moved into the William Paul Hall in 1968. At that time the Waikato Museum occupied the top floor. The library took over the floor in 1974 when the Museum moved to London Street. The library was moved from this location to the former Arthur Barnett/D.I.C. building in Garden Place in July 1993. The William Paul Hall, built in 1955, was demolished shortly after the library relocated and the Downtown Plaza was built in its place.
