Fa276 was built at Newmarket railway workshops in 1896; the only "new" locomotive ever built at Newmarket - all the rest were conversions. It was altered to an "Fb" 0-6-2T in 1904 at Newmarket and subsequently reverted to its "Fa" classification in 1905 after the last of the "Fa's" had been converted from 0-6-0T to 0-6-2T. Written off in March 1931.
