Description
Motor cars being loaded on to the PS Rawhiti II at Hamilton. Launched at Mercer, the boat made its way to Hamilton where the embarkation pictured took place then returned to Mercer where the motor vehicles were disembarked and driven by owners back to Hamilton. The stern-wheel paddle steamer, owned by the Roose Shipping Company, ferried passengers and various cargo between Hamilton and Port Waikato from 1925 to 1948.
