Mayor Margaret Evans, dressed as an early Hamilton settler, speaks at the reopening of the Bridge Street (now Anzac Parade) traffic bridge (aka Victoria Bridge). Children from Hamilton East School, also dressed in costume, listen to the mayor speak.
