Description
A westerly view across Victoria Street shows from left: single storey building housing several unidentifiable shops. At the end of the block is Marriott's Stores Ltd. In the two storey building 'Elswick Chambers', the first shop cannot be identified; next is Jno. Grey - Land Agent with a sign on the canopy 'Lawrence's'; Burgoyne Hardware Services is on the right. The Ford in the photo is probably a 1935 V8-60 with an extended boot. A single street lamp is slung on wire above the centre of the street.
