Description
A view of the the south west part of the city looking across Anglesea Street. At the right is the Waikato Hospital with Mount Pirongia just visible in the background. The Hamilton Gas Works are in front of the hospital on the photo. Anglesea Street runs diagonally through the centre. Some of the businesses on the left of Anglesea Street include The National Insurance Company of New Zealand Limited at bottom right, Winger Motors / Volkswagen dealers lower centre, Farmers Furniture and Flooring is above them, Nolan Buildings and Coca-Cola Bottlers (northern) Limited at upper left. On the right hand side of Anglesea Street from left to right is the Ministry of Transport, Anglesea Court Motors (Shell petrol Station), the Central Waikato Electric Power Board building, the Hamilton Fire station is at the centre, Used car yard and at the right Tordorff's tyre service centre and Anglesea Buildings including Sperry Furnishers is at ground level.
