Description
Built in 1917 and opened in 1918 this building is on the corner of Victoria and Hood Streets. The offices above the verandah housed the Provident Life Insurance Company. A Bean Chair shop and Valet Drycleaners was below. One sign on the verandah says "Same day service" A sign in the centre says Phoenix Assurance Provident Life. Street lights and traffic lights can be seen on the corner of the streets. At the end of Hood Street which is on the right hand sign of the building a sign for Grand Central Hotel is visible.
