Object Detail

Description
Built in 1917 and opened in 1918 this building is on the corner of Victoria and Hood Street. The offices above the verandah housed the Provident Life Insurance and a Bean Chair shop. A sign on the left of the first door says Phoenix Assurance Provident Life. There are other shops housed in the building around the corner on Hood Street. At the far left we can just see a motorbike shop with the word 'Mazda'. On the right in Hood Street is Robertos - a modern home furniture shop. A street light and traffic lights can be seen on the corner of the streets.
