Object Detail

Description
The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company Limited (NZCDC) complex in Frankton. The railway line can be seen on the left hand side of the photograph where it crosses the intersection of Norton Road and Rifle Range Road. The original factory, built in 1913, is on the right. A Te Rapa depot milk tanker stands by its loading bay. It has the Anchor trade mark on the cab door and "Anchor" written along the side. The factory mainly produced butter. It also had a casein grinding plant and made metal and tin boxes for the company's products. Three motorbikes, possibly workers', are parked outside.
