Description
The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company (NZCDC) factory complex in Frankton. William Goodfellow's Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company (WCDC) built the original butter factory in 1913. It was added to over the subsequent decades. The roof of the original butter factory can just be seen near the centre of the photograph, forward of the chimney. Butter boxes and tins were produced in other areas of the complex. At the left the railway line is just visible. On the far right hand side some of the wood used in preparing the butter boxes can be seen.
