Description
Day's Building and others were badly damaged by the Bryce Street flea market fire. Here, two months later, the site bordered by Victoria Street, Claudelands Road and Bryce Street is being cleared. The Porterhouse Meat Parlour and Delicatessen and the stationery shop Bridge 500 were in Day's Building which would also be demolished. The Government owned Rural Bank offices in the six-storey building on the right were also damaged but not demolished.
