Description
A view of the the St Vincent de Paul charity shop and hostel which was in a building at 62 High Street, Frankton. The building was constructed in 1911. They moved to the section next door then to Commerce Street where they are today (2017) and are celebrating 150 years in New Zealand. At the right is a wholesale liquor outlet which was part of the Frankton Hotel on the corner of Commerce and High Streets. The car in front is a Vauxhall LIP Velox. Behind it on the car park is another Vauxhall - a PA Velox. At the right hand corner of the car park by the pavement is a Ford Falcon XR and behind that a Holden HD.
