Looking about south. The house to the right was the residence of Mr J W Ellis, founder of Ellis & Burnand, councillor of Frankton Borough and Mayor of Hamilton from May 1917, upon the amalgamation of Hamilton & Frankton Boroughs, until his death in August 1918.
