The house on the hill is Omakake, or Noah Roper Cox's Cottage, 46 Government Road, Raglan, possibly shipped from Onehunga in 1874. About 1906 Thomas and Fanny Maunder built a holiday home on eight acres overlooking the harbour at Cox's Bay.
