Description
The Maunder family (from left): Fanny Stow Maunder, husband Thomas Wills Maunder, daughter Fanny Edith Maunder, unidentified woman, Arthur Thomas Maunder and unidentified man at gate of new family home 'Punawai'. There appears to be no raod formed. What is now Tainui Street was in early days referred to as 'Maunder's hill' in council meetings.
