Description

Town or encampment at Oio where railway station was built. This is just over eight kilometres north of the Raurimu spiral. On left is woman and child in front of 'Shepherd Dining Room' where you could by hop beer.On right is railway line to buffer stop. Large trees have been felled.

This is Oio viewed from the south. The Shepherd Dining Room also seems to be selling 'Hop Beer' by the looks of the sign. I thought the King Country was a dry area.
