Object Detail

Description
Shop window display, designed by John Millar, with colour theme green. The title of the display is 'From the Forest Greens'. This is one of a series of seven photos including two interior displays. Central to the theme in four of the five window displays is a large paper & card much stylised forest bird. Each of the displays features a dried flower arrangement and each window display has a hanging backboard announcing the title except the menswear window where the backboard announces Autumn is in the Air. Each window display also has a frieze of leaves in coloured card. In this photo the mannequins show off women's daywear. One shows a threequarter sleeve plain roundnecked dress with an upward chevron pattern on the front . Another wears a suit with shirt collar and double breasted jacket and straight skirt. Both are knee length. The third is in a shift above the knee with three quarter length sleeves and a stand up collar. Handbags and gloves are carried by two mannequins and two wear hats.
