Description
This photograph has been identified by family members as showing, on the right, Robert McEachern Peace, on the left, his son Robert William Peace, born 1882, and in the centre his grandson Robert Ivan Peace, born 1917, the son of Robert William Peace. According to the family, Robert William Peace owned the first bicycle shop in Hamilton, and did not serve in any army unit that they know of. In the photograph he has the collar badges worn by soldiers serving in the infantry from the 34th Reinforcements onwards.
